Two minutes, start to finish

How it works

Three steps, no jargon, and no obligation to switch. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you start comparing, including how we get paid.

Start comparing
1

Tell us what you need

Pick a category and answer a few quick questions: what you're comparing, where you are, and how you use it. About two minutes, no jargon, and nothing you'd need a recent bill to answer.

2

We compare the market

We line up the providers competing for your situation and rank them on what you'll actually pay, not the headline rate. Availability varies by postcode, so your shortlist is built for your address.

3

You choose, we handle the switch

You get the shortlist by email and a consultant can walk you through it. Decide to move and we do the paperwork. For energy and broadband there's no interruption to your service.

What happens after you hit submit

  1. Straight awayA confirmation email lands, so you know the request came through.
  2. Within one business dayYour shortlist arrives with the numbers side by side.
  3. If you'd likeA consultant calls to answer questions. No call, no problem. Reply by email instead.
  4. When you're readyWe handle the switch, the paperwork and the hand-over to your new provider.

What you can count on

Free, alwaysComparing costs you nothing and you're never obliged to switch.
Your details are never soldWe use what you give us to build your comparison. We don't sell your information on to third parties.
No credit score impactComparing loan rates is not a credit application, so it leaves no enquiry on your file. Only a formal application with a lender does that.
Real people, localIf you want to talk it through, you're speaking to an Australian team who know the products.

How we're paid

Comparing is free because the provider pays us, not you. When you choose to move to a plan or loan through us, that provider pays a commission or referral fee.

That fee doesn't change the price you're offered, and it isn't what decides the order of your results. Your shortlist is ranked on what the deal is worth to you.

We compare a panel of providers rather than the whole market, so it's worth saying plainly: a cheaper deal may exist somewhere we don't cover. We'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

Questions people ask

Do I need a recent bill to compare?

No. A recent bill sharpens the numbers because we can compare against your actual usage rather than a household-size estimate, but you can get a useful comparison without one.

Will switching interrupt my service?

For energy and broadband, generally not. The physical connection to your property doesn't change, only who bills you for it. On most nbn technologies the new provider takes over the existing line the same day.

Do you compare every provider in the market?

No, and we'd rather say so plainly. We compare a panel of providers across our categories and we're adding to it, but no comparison service covers the entire market.

What if I change my mind?

Nothing happens until you tell us to proceed. Getting a shortlist puts you under no obligation, and you can stop at any point before a switch is submitted.
