These terms apply to your use of this website and the comparison service provided byBetter Rate Mate (TODO: ABN). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What we do, and what we do not do

We operate a comparison service. You tell us what you want to compare, and we match you to products from the providers on our panel and pass your enquiry to them.

• We provide general information only. Nothing on this site is financial, credit, tax or legal advice, and none of it takes account of your objectives, financial situation or needs.
• We do not compare the whole market. We compare a panel of providers. Products and providers exist that we do not cover, and one of them may suit you better.
• We are not the provider. If you take up a product, your contract is with that provider, not with us. Their terms, eligibility criteria and disclosure documents apply.
• We do not guarantee savings or approval. Any figures shown are estimates or examples. What you are actually offered depends on the provider's assessment of your circumstances.

Before taking up any product, read the relevant Product Disclosure Statement, Target Market Determination, credit guide or equivalent document, and consider whether it is right for you. Consider obtaining independent advice.

How we are paid

Using the site is free. When you take up a product through us, the provider generally pays us a commission or referral fee. That fee does not change the price you are offered and is not what determines the order of your results. There is more detail on ourhow we're paid page.

Using this site

When you use the site and submit an enquiry, you agree that:

• you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract;
• the information you give us is true, current and complete;
• where you provide someone else's personal information, you have their permission to do so;
• you will not misuse the site, including by interfering with it, attempting to gain unauthorised access, scraping it at scale, or submitting false or automated enquiries.

We may suspend or refuse access to the site or the comparison service if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

Your privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and who we disclose it to. Because our service works by matching you to providers, submitting an enquiry means your details are passed to the relevant providers or brokers so they can contact you.

Content on this site

The content, design and branding on this site belong to us or our licensors. You may read, print and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish or adapt our content commercially without our written permission.

We work to keep our guides accurate and current, but rates, fees, eligibility rules and product features change frequently. Information may be out of date by the time you read it. Always confirm the current terms with the provider.

Links to other sites

The site links to third-party websites, including those of providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law: we provide this site and the comparison service on an "as is" basis; we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free or that its content is accurate or complete; and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from a decision you make in reliance on it, or from any dealing you have with a provider.

Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of TODO: state or territory, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
